Baby's room & Week 16!

With the arrival of week 16 last Saturday, Jeff was excited to start beautifying the baby's room. We decided to put up beadboard & crown molding. (Apparently, the baby will really be paying attention to details in it's room.)

Then I come home from work, & Jeff and his friend Travis are installing the crown molding! (Travis & his wife Stacy are pregnant too! She's due on St. Patrick's Day!)

Jeff didn't want me to post pictures before he puttied & painted, but I said that it's a work in progress, right?

AND... WEEK 16!!!

Finally starting to show a little bit more! Feeling great & getting really excited about our ultrasound appointment on the 23rd. Pretty soon I won't be able to fit in my jeans & I'll have to go shopping for maternity clothes! (I know it sounds corny, but it's exciting!)

Baby's Room!

Last weekend, we went "shopping" at Aunt Tara's house. We got the crib & changing table/dresser that both Jackson & Marley have used. She also gave us: lots of toys, 2 car seats, a swing, a vibrating chair, a pack-n-play, an umbrella stroller, a breast pump, a walker... The list goes on and on. She also gave us the rocking chair that their grandmother used to rock Tara in. We're going to refinish it & modernize it a little bit.

So, of course, as soon as we got home, Jeff wanted to start putting things together. Here's a picture of Jeff and the finished crib.

Here's the changing table/dresser behind the dogs. They were helping. (And by helping, I mean putting their hair all over the freshly vacuumed carpet.)


This is a dinosaur that Daddy won for the baby in a claw machine at a local restaurant. (Coincidence that it's pink???- We shall see soon enough!)


Here's Whiticar hiding from the tape measure. What an awesome guard dog!

Ariel, afraid that she is in trouble yet again, since just last night she ate the bottoms to Mom's favorite bathing suit.

And Anlee, hiding in her favorite spot- in the closet, beneath Dad's clothes. (Sometimes he leaves a pile of clothes on the floor & she gets to lay on them!)

So today we're (& by we, I mean mostly Jeff) working on installing B-board & crown molding in the baby's room. Jeff is soooooooo ready to paint it as well, but he's just going to have to wait a few more days! We'll have more pics up soon of the progress.
